More Editing

I'm training myself so that I cn justify buying a new camera. If I can't even use the one I have (Panasonic DMC-FZ20) then how can I possibly justify an fancy-shmancy camera. So, thanks to Scott, Laura and Tyler (and a bunch of websites created by people I don't know), I'm trying to get this figured out. But, even with all of teh helpful and expert advise, I'm still choosing to guess at a bunch of stuff. I find myself saying, What does this button do to the picture? and just clicking away. Hopefully time and experience will bring better results...
