Our Daughters

J spent a good part of today baking two Strawberry-Rhubarb Pies, from the ground, up (literally). She grew rhubarb, harvested some this afternoon, and baked the pies. So, here is a picture of Ashley. You tell me if you think she helped Janese at all with the pies, or if she sat in her room and read books all day:

Also, this was Madelyn's outfit for going out in the rain to make a delivery with Janese. I promise there are shorts under that raincoat...

Bet Ashley added an extra touch of love to the pies. Maddie looks as if she could be in an advertisement for western boots. What a combination between rain gear and boots. Great! How does Janese get it all done? Wis we were sitting down and enjoying a piece of pie with you all. lv, grandma ruth

What I wouldn't give for some pie!

Thank you so much for all of your help with my camera questions! I know I want a new one but get so overwhelmed when I begin to do research -- there's SO much info out there and a lot of it goes right over my head!

Your pictures are amazing and your family is gorgeous!! Thanks for sharing your blog with me. I have a feeling I'll be coming back often to drool over your photography.

I think I've made a decision. As of this moment I'm leaning toward the Canon Rebel XS (it includes Canon's EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens) and a 50mm 1.8f lens. While the XSi may be better I won't know what I'm missing since this is my first foray into the world of DSLRs.

What do you think?

You have a great family! Tell Janese I want to be just like her, she always is so sweet!
